Roof vents fitted - Bodge job?

Hi Guys,

First time poster here looking for advice. Our landlady has recently had vents fitted to the roof of our house to air the loft. The roof was being noisy in the wind and when I put my head out of the window to take a look I could see that they had just been pushed under the lead (see attached photo). Please could I get a second opinion that this has not been done correctly before I ask her to call the builder and get him back,

Here's how to fit a slate vent.

These guys dont deserve a 2nd chance ...that defies belief...you think you seen it all then another one pops up.

You get poor workmanship then you have clueless workmanship....That would give the itinerant workers a bad name and would class as fraudulent.
