Room Stat

Hi There,

Just moved into a new build property, all radiators are controlled by TRV and the towel rail is just the towel rail.

There is no room stat in the system at all, is this correct?? or are you required to have a room stat??

Yes you are required to have a room stat or yes it's ok not to have one??

yes you need one for the boiler interlock.
otherwise the rooms willbe to temp but the boiler keeps cycling.
wasting gas etc.

It’s a requirement of the Domestic Building Services Compliance Guide which is implementation guidance for building regs Part L1A and L1B.

I just noticed - you are in Scotland so things will be different. However, I'd be surprised if there isn't a similar requirement.
