turned the Room stat up when it got chilli

Surely you would turn the stat down, not up?

but you know I always skip over people's spelling mistakes and never really notice them and would be far too kind to ever comment or correct them.

In the first post the written bit doesn't match the photo, IMO.

Thats when i spoke to the people who installed the boiler they come out (then warranty expired 2 days later) done some digging around as they thought it may be the 3 port valve but on inspection that was working. and that when the engineer traced it to the thermostat.

Are you saying that they came out to look at it when it was under warranty?
