Hi and apologies for the extraordinarily simple query:

The thermostat in the house is always at 25-30 Celsius but the room temperature
never exceeds 15 Celsius. Why Could this be?

Thanks

Whatever secret thing you are doing to heat the house is not providing enough heat.

Or your room stat is out of calibration.

So is it potentially an issue with the boiler or the insulation perhaps?

Ah, so you have a boiler!

Do you have anything else? Like rads for example?

Boiler flow temp may be too low.

Rads may be undersized or badly balanced.

Why not read the FAQ here for some self help ideas?

Are you're radiators hot to touch? Does you're boiler have central heating temperature controls on it that need turning up. Is this a recent thing a house you just moved into or is the thermostat sat above a radiator?

Do you know what the setting on the boiler is, and which boiler is it.
How do you know the room temperature is 15C.
How long is the heating on for.
Is every room at 15C, or are some hotter or colder.
Are the radiators hot to touch, or are there cold spots on the bottom; are all radiators the same sort of temperature.
Do you have single, or double glazing.

Essentially, more info required.

All these questions!

He does not seem very good at giving information.

Maybe he will find it easier if only asked one question each day?
