hi guys just wondering if its possible to fit a room thermostat to my age old worcester 9.24. Its got a digital timer on it an on/off switch for water and basically a high and low knob on the front of it.

is there any particular type of thermostat to get or will any do the job, just need one that i can adjust the room temp only as the times are programmed on the boiler already.

thanks in advance.

yes you can fit a thermostat, there are loads to choose from however i would focus your search around the Honeywell range, That however is my choice other peaople may favour other makes. check out the Honeywell uk website

Afaik you can fit a roomstat to any boiler on the UK market, so yours can have one too.
Though more expensive, a programmable roomstat has many advantages over a conventional model including a tad more savings and more comfort.
Bear in mind that a conventional roomstat costs more to wire up than the extra money for a wireless model.
The best place for any roomstat is in the lounge, away from draft, direct sunlight and other heat sources at between 1 metre and 1.5 metre height.
