Rotten window frame

I have recently double glazed the front of my house and was hoping to wait with the back. The glass is in fairly good nick - but when I went outside to clean the windows today I noticed that the softwood frame beneath is completely rotten in places. Soft sodden wood flaking up from beneath the paint.

Could I ask the experts if there is anything that can be done to patch up and repair - or do I need to be thinking of new double galzing again (which I can scarce afford..)?

Any advice most gratefully received.

Its not worth wasting your time to repair, really - the bodge wouldn't last long and new frame(s) is the only way to go. Sorry!
