Round Bench Sander 8"

I made a 8" round sander from a hoover motor, all worked out fine.

Except it slows down when under load.

Can I improve this please.

I think its unlikely that your Hoover motor is powerful enough for the task in hand.
The obvious solution is not to press on to the disc so hard, but the power could be increased if you geared the motor down with a pulley system.
