Route cable through soil stack box section?

Is there any reason why you couldn't route 10mm cable by the soil pipe/stack in the enclosed box section?

Basically want to run cable from consumer unit through living room using skirting trunking, through stud wall to kitchen where soil pipe stack is. Then up to airing cupboard in the box section and finally through stud wall to rear of shower.

The cable would be unsupported for the vertical drop.

It would be far better if clipped, but if this really isn't possible then at least make sure the cable is properly supported at the top of the boxing in. Other than the issues in supporting the cable that you've already mentioned, there's nothing specific I'm aware of to prevent you running a cable with the soil stack.
