Hi,

i am about to fit a new shower and shower pump, but i'm not sure which way to take the piping, The pump will be in the bottom of the airing cupboard below the hot and cold water tanks. But would it be best to take the piping back up from the outlet of the pump into the attic and then across and down to the shower or from the output OF THE PUMP into a 180 degree bend in the pipework under the floorboards and up into the shower?

Any diagram ive looked at takes the output straight up to the shower or up and across although this isn't possible in my case as there is a door opening in the way.

Sorry if my description is a little confusing, but hopefully someone can help

Thanks

You should go down under the floorboards and back up into the shower if possible. This way, you will avoid potentially taking the pipework above the water level of the tanks (which would entail a more expensive negative head pump), and you're also less likely to have issues with air locks and the need to fit AAVs.
