Hi all
I have a 290mm wide cavity wall. Each wall is 4" wide and made of block. About to make an opening of approx 2.5m and insert an RSJ above to support. (Yes BCO is well aware!!)
Structural Engineer screwed up slightly so not 100% sure on padstone size to use. The depth is stated as 150mm but its the width and lenth I need.
So my question now is what size padstone should I use and which way round? Also, would it be one stone at each end bridging the cavity or 2 stones at each end not bridging the cavity.
Need to cast them now so any quick response appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
