running cable for first fix

all it says on the plans under electrical is- switches and sockets are to be provided at 400-1200mm of floor levels. Electrical installations to be installed, inspected and tested in accordance with the requirements of BS 7671 and approved document P.

Also thinking after ive run the cable and connected all the switches and lights will i struggle to find an electrician to sign it off if he hasnt done the work or are they usually ok, thanks again Rick.

Did you want them at those heights?

Ah. Unfortunately you won't be able to do that.

They are usually very much not OK - you will struggle (if by "struggle" you mean "find it impossible") to find an electrician to sign it off.
