im going to change my doorbell from a wireless to a wired doorbell.

Before boards and plaster go back on I’d like to run the cable.

Any good and suggestions/advice please?

I considered moving it onto the brick but unfortunately it’ll leave holes exposed on the UPVC frame where the last one was.

I would be tempted to fit cat6 network cable in case I wanted to put in one later with a camera etc in it.

Aside from that is it what type of cable or the actual where to run it your looking for?

It’s a nest hello doorbell I’m going to put in. Just needs 2 core but I’m putting 5 core in for it as that’s what I’ve got.

Would you suggest drilling in from the side and straight through and then drilling in from the outside half way through and threading the cable to the doorbell button that way?
