I had a valiant ecotec pro 28 boiler installed about a year ago and it's been fine until last week I noticed that whenever I use the shower there is a rushing sort of noise of water coming from the boiler whenever I turn on just the hot tap/shower extension in my bath. The noise stops if I turn the cold tap on and have it running at the same time. If I use any of the other taps there is no noise at all. I've tried adjusting the mains stopcock to see if that had any effect but still the same sort of rushing water sound.
The pressure in the boiler is fine - it's about 1.4 when I'm not using it and at about 2.1 when it's on.
I only noticed the noise last week but I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before.
Last week the town were I live had a big mains water leak and most of the town had only very little hot water for about a day - it's all back to normal now but is there anyway that could have affected things?
Please can anyone advise me if I need to be worrying before I call a plumber if I don't need to.thanks
