Russian diplomats to be expelled from 21 countries

Depends where in the US he starts from.

Does Parliament have any jurisdiction over US citizens?

As I said if you read the piece they could make this a contempt of Parliament issue and argue it in court as its not under statute and if they agreed it is then it would be a criminal offence so as we have an extradition treaty we could ask for his arrest.

So if a warrant was issued and I am sure the US would decline then if its passed onto Interpol, Zuck won't be stepping foot in Europe.

In other words, no jurisdiction.

If the US declines to extradite Zuck, will that mean that UK can decline to extradite anyone that US wants, like Assange? Although US seems to know better than to ask UK for his extradition.

Do you mean "if it is passed to Europol, Zuck won't be setting a foot in Europe"?

Although how long will we be in Europol?
And what happens to warrants already issued via Europol, that are outstanding when we leave?

Sobering reading, I can't see much upside.

Any lessening of the relationship [that] would affect operational impact and responsiveness and our ability to protect the public would be the concern."

Who said the US had our back? Special Relationship. Lol

Members of Trump's administration have sought to capitalize on the expulsions to push a more hawkish stance against Russia, but Trump remains unconvinced, reportedly telling advisers he favors a more cooperative approach toward Putin

Maybe it is more Trump than the US government.

Perhaps Trump doesnt want to upset the wealthy Russians buying his properties

A Reuters review found that at least 63 individuals with Russian passports or addresses have bought at least $98.4 million worth of property in seven Trump-branded luxury towers in southern Florida

Either way expelling 60 diplomats even if they are being replaced is still more positive than the anti-west Corbyn.

What's he done that's anti-west?

Mueller will get to the bottom of the Russian influence in Trump's inner circle.

we expel some Russians then the Russians expel some of our diplomats ect ect

tis the way it works tis the way it has always worked :)

nothing new ;)

it gets a bit more serious when one breaks off diplomatic relations . But that is un-likely to happen;)

there has always been a close/ call it special relationship with the USA

Russia has saved Britain's bacon on more than one occasion, they have been Britains allies in both wars, in WW1 if it hadn't been for the Russian Revolution they could have steamrollered the Germans.

well yes and no tbh

ww2 they signed a treaty with hitler & he renaged on it .

If Hitler had not attacked Russia there may have been a different out come ? or the war would have dragged on for longer ??

The Germans poured massive resources into the russian campaign , if he had not it could well have all been in France waiting for us and the US ???
