I picked up the above pillar drill from a garage sale and it needs new belts. The seller said easy to get at the local tool suppliers well it turns out it’s now discontinued and the belts don’t seem to be available!
Would anyone know where/how I could find the belts for this drill?
I have contact the Ryobi spare parts website but I may have just brought a piece of scrap!!

They are probably standard V belts which can be bought from a stockist of belts and bearings. If not in stock the specific size can be ordered.

Google comes up with http://www.interseals.gg/beltsbearings ( but may not still be trading as website is dated 2015 )

    Search for V belts

If you are stumped, maybe due to the belt going AWOL.....
Measure the thickness of the pulley......an Z series belt is 10mm at its widest, an A series belt 13mm wide. (its likely to be either of those.)
Then measure the distance the belt has to run in mm, from pulley to pulley, again at the outside diameter of the pulley, not in the Vee) (that's the difficult bit, but some string and a helper pays dividends). Lets say you get a measurement of 940mm, and the pulley is 10mm wide. Order therefore a Z 940 belt from a bearing specialist.

Yes that the one I have and I have managed to find one of the belts online, not sure if it’s in stock at the moment and the other is marked as obsolete!
    The belts are missing :(

Thank you John. I will take a look later and report back with my findings!
I did think I had spent £20 on a piece of scrap so pleased it should have a solution!

If you have to measure for new belt, set adjustment to central position in the slot first so you have a little tolerance either side if measurment is not dead on.

Yes, a very good point - I wasn't aware the belt tension was adjustable but it might be.
    Anyhoo.....the part number(s) are 13205007D or
    13205007C
    whatever the difference is!

Well Im not 100% sure it is adjustable as theres an adjuster idler shaft for one pulley but worth mentioning as specs can change on models?

Aye, who knows.....usually the motor pulls back on sliders but I have seen them hinged before.

I contacted the Ryobi spare parts supplier and they advised that they can no longer get parts for the machine :(

It has 3 pulleys, so I measured the front set and it’s 10 MM wide and 540mm long and the back set is 10mm and 470mm long. So I need a z 540 belt and a z470 belt? I will see what google finds …

Please can you add a picture of the backpanel that shows the pully positions.
Might be someting useful on there.

Also the reason for two belt numbers is that you need two differnet sized belts to conenct the motor to the drill bit.

EDIT>> See later message where I say I think both belts are the same and you should drop the letter and look for part number "13205007"

Here you go, wouldn’t it be great if they put the belt sizes on the machine?!
