Sachs and Boge springs

Folk seem to prefer the two brands to KYB but from what I gather from searching for catalogues, Sachs and Boge make shocks but not coil springs.

Has anyone got links for the springs please?

Have you had a look here, delivery usually takes around 1 week as they come from overseas but have all the quality stuff.

Thanks, yes I am aware of autodoc. They also have a damn good set of how to videos on YT for various repair jobs on cars.

Managed to find a link with PDF download catalogues for Sachs springs and shocks.

When you have the relevant part number, its easier to source the parts you want.

KYB aren't bad. I was surprised the other day to be doing something on a brand new Peugeot and found that some of the running gear was KYB as original equipment.

The two KYB shocks I got at a local factor a few weeks were perfectly respectable. I'd first got two KYB shocks online via ebay and was quite disgusted with what was delivered. Only one was in a brand box, the other in a plain box without a piston rod nut. The shocks should have been identical, same part number from the same factory but the spot the difference list was lengthy. I returned them.

Genuine KYB are good kit, OEM fitment on some Japanese cars iirc.

Indeed, genuine KYB are a respectable brand judging by the fact local factors stock them. Its when you're supplied with what you believe are fakes via online you get.

KYB allege that they supply 25% of the world's car plants.

I've heard of knock off counterfeit parts from ALL makes.

NGK sparkplug were a surprise.

If you buy an Exedy Daikin clutch they actually come with a leaflet showing how to identify a genuine clutch plate!

Walbro fuel pumps suffered massively from inferior knockoffs which really damaged their brand.

For me pay a little extra and buy from a reputable shop, vendor.

Its a good motor factor, every time, for me.....lots of my stuff is distributed by FPS, there within 3 hours delivered. Brilliant.
