Salamander rsp100 pump

Got a second hand salamander pump but can't identify which is the hot end or does this not matter with this pump? As both side do the same, don't they? It does not have coloured tie wraps like it states on the salamander website.
Looking at Google pics it seems a rule of thumb is that the electrics on this pump are offset and they seem to be nearer the cold side but this could be wrong

Any comments would be helpful

Love mine! Never had a issue until the ex left the immersion on and blew seals at boiling point

Isn't that more a fault with the immersion heater?

Why did you let the Ex back in? You should of changed the locks.
