Had this model over a year with no problems..until now!

I switched the power off so I could replace a few sockets in the kitchen area with new ones as well as boxing in some pipes around the boiler.

The thing is, the receiver was positioned onto the wall at the side of the boiler with the connecting wire visible. This was untidy so I decided to fix onto the front of the boxing with the wire coming from behind, therefore making a tidy job.

All this took a couple of hours, but when I switched the power on again the receiver just showed both RED and GREEN lights coming on and making a clicking noise.

Any ideas?

I connected the wires back up exactly as they were on the original installation .

I will have to have a look again in the morning.

Cheers

wasn`t suggesting you had put wires back wrongly

but if you can tell us the voltage readings  we can advise what the fault is

Thanks for the reply.

I did not assume you suggested I had rewired up wrong. I will check the voltage in the morning and get back to you.

 Everything is back to normal.

It appears that I wired it up wrong! I rang the tech helpline and explained what was happening and what wire was where. The guy was quick to point out that one wire was incorrectly located. No damage done-apart from my ego.

The thing is, I was absolutely convinced I had done it right. Made a note of the wires etc. Must be going mad.

I would like to thank you for your advice.

Dave
