The on/off light on our samsung built in cooker has never worked - now 3 years old. Model number BQ2Q7G078

The cooker works absolutely fine, except the failure of this light to come on.

We only realised recently that the light should work, but Samsung don't want to know. The appliance came with a five year warranty from Appliances on Line, but apparently we had to register with Samsung which we failed to do, so Samsung have said it is not their problem.

Does anyone know if this is a common fault or have any idea how much I should expect to have to pay for a repair?

Many thanks

If you have managed without it for 3 years then why are you worrying about it now? Samsung will probably have call out charges on their website, but a local repairer or even an electrician would probably be cheaper.
