My Samsung hp dryer is now taking forever to dry a load. I stripped it down and emptied a huge amount of fluff from inside the casing and washed down the condenser etc. this definitely improved airflow through the machine greatly but it’s still not performing as it used to.

it does get warm, after an hour or so it’s at about 40 deg c. However I read somewhere it should create a 10 degree rise in about 10 minutes. It doesn’t. I’m not really sure how long it’s taking to generate any heat.

There is a lot of steam / condensation forming on the outside of the machine and that didn’t used to happen. Water drawer is suspiciously low vs what it used to produce.

Compressor sounds like it’s running as it should, albeit seems to be on permanently. Not sure if that’s normal or not.

I’m wondering if it’s low on gas and not effectively condensing the moisture out of the air and thats just escaping out of the casing and the heat is actually just heat from the compressor itself radiating into the machine?

Can these things be regassed or is it fubar?

Grateful for any advice.
