Hi fellas,
Having lashed up a standard blockwork garden wall, i'm going to render it and then rent a tyrolean gun to finish (to match the house) - a few questions...
1) Any need to PVA the wall? If not, is it doing any harm to use it for better render adherence for an amateur like me?
2) Because it's being tyrolean-gun finished, could I get away with just doing one coat of render over the blocks? Instead of scratchcoat/topcoat/tyrolean coat?
3) What is the perfect mix ratio for sand/cement when being used in a tyrolean gun?
Cheers...
