Hi
We have a Saniflo serving a toilet, sink, and shower, in an en-suite bathroom. We have not been living in the house for several months and so the Saniflo hasn't been used for a while.
Flushed the toilet yesterday only to find that water backed up into the shower tray and the Saniflo kept running as it couldn't clear it. Had to pull the fuse at the Consumer Unit in the end as I didn't want the macerator to burn out!
The unit was installed behind a tiled wall which is neat but a problem in terms of access.
Does this sound like a blocked waste pipe rather than a disfunctional unit? If so, any suggestions would be useful. I have now found out that Saniflo manufacture a descaler - worth trying? If so can this be put down the toilet or waste from the shower, or does it have to go into the unit direct?
Thanks guys
Norman T
