Sash locks for wooden doors

They are ordinary sash locks - so yes, they'll fit a wooden 44mm door

why not fit an ordinary BS mortice lock with levers, which will be cheaper and better?
Not always better IMHO. We generally fit Euro barrels on commercial jobs because you can get high security barrel/key sets which can be swapped out in minutes. The key is also a yale size key (smaller) and it's also a lot cheaper to replace the barrel than the lock if the keys go walkies. So only better in some circumstances

more secure and likely to last longer.

Thanks for the replies - I really appreciate it. I never knew there were so many options and standards! Even the hinges have to be taken into consideration!

I'm glad that this will be suitable as I would much rather have the euro style lock and also it will mean a smaller key for my pocket :D

Thanks again!
