What type of lock is this?

I went to change my front door lock today but found the Yale Euro cylinder I bought wouldn't fit in the space. In the photo below the one on the left is the original lock, and the one on the right is the new Euro cylinder. What kind of lock should I be looking for?

The Euro cylinder seems to be about 2mm bigger in terms of height so won't fit in the gap in the sash lock. Would it be easy enough to change the sash lock to a euro profile sash lock?

It's an oval lock this sort of thing.
