Hi, we have an old SD Thelia boiler which generally works well, having had most of its parts replaced over the years (I have insurance).
Our problem is, when the central heating is on and we then turn on a hot tap anywhere in the house, as soon as we turn the tap off, the boiler starts to whine. The only way to get rid of the whining is to switch the boiler off and on again.
It does not require a full shut down i.e. pilot flame.
This is only a problem when the CH is on.
Any ideas? We have had a local engineer in to look at the problem but he didn't find the source.
Many thanks in advance for any help.
