I feel bad asking such a basic question but I've got myself a bit confused what fixings to use on my newbuild plasterboard walls (no wooden beams, I forget the proper name but it's thickish plasterboard with wimpy metal runners).
I want to hang guitars on the walls; the hangers expect two 6mm screws which are not supplied. I'm not sure if bog standard rawlplugs are acceptable here, or if I need an expansion/anchor fitting. Looking on Screwfix and B&Q (UK) it seems both are used but I want to make sure!
I also see these "self-drive" fittings where you screw the plug into the wall instead of drilling, are they a good option? In fact there's rather a bewildering array of different fixing types!
