I want to hang some mirrors on dot and dab plasterboard walls. This means that the screws will not be screwed all the way into the plasterboard fixing as the bracket on the mirror needs to hang on it.
I am also worried that there may not be enough room between the plasterboard and the breeze block for the fixing to fit.
I did think of drilling through into the breeze block and inserting an 'old fashioned' rawlplug. The screw would expand the plug in the breeze block and in the plasterboard.

Would this work or are there better solutions, please.

A plastic plug expanding in plasterboard will blow it, best to try Corefix which is part plug and part steel ferrule. You can measure the gap between board and block by drilling a small hole and pushing a piece of wire through watching out for pipes and cables.

Blup

I have used these in the post to hang large mirrors/pictures
