Hi all,

The panic button at my front door seems to have failed in the 'normal closed' position i.e. even pressing it doesn't activate the alarm.

The red button seems to move freely back and forth and it doesn't 'click' when you press it which I think it used to. Because of this, you don't actually need the key to make it pop back out.

Is it a case of sourcing a new one, entering engineer/installer mode, and performing a straight swap? Do I need to isolate power? Or reprogram anything?

Thanks in advance!

Enter installation mode.

You can still get these, you may be able to get it functioning be taking apart cleaning up and putting back.

Thanks for your reply. I was hoping something like the below would be a direct replacement.

As it's only a couple of pounds, I was thinking of popping in and buying one - at least that way I'll have it to hand when I take the old one off (I can then make a call on repair or replacement).

If I do end up replacing, to confirm, do I just enter installer mode and swap wires like for like and put everything back? (No reprogramming etc?)
