Schepach band saw problem

Hi everybody, can anyone help me with a problem with my band saw. Everytime I switch it on in blows out the rcb. The motor and blade are not jammed and are free so it is not that. Dont know what to do for the best.

It sounds like the motor windings have shorted to ground if its the rccb thats tripping, unfortunately.

Does that mean a new motor. You dont think it could be the tube like thing bolted to the motor?

If you are talking about the start capacitor here (normally fixed to the side of the motor, two wires) then certainly if its gone open circuit the result would be the same.
Often there's a sign of burning / swelling if the thing has gone awol, but not always. Its probably got markings such as 4uf, 250vac printed on the side and you need one with a similar specification.
