HI
I just stumbled across this site 2mins ago.javascript:emoticon('')
Hope someone can give a bit of advice i need a saw that can cut out curves in alluminium approx 2mm up to 6mm looked at a scroll saw but they all talk about cutting wood can they be bought to cut alli? would a band saw be better?

I would like one without breaking the bank.
i used to use an abrafile the type i have used can be used in a hacksaw but the replace ment blades need an attachment piece.
Does anyone know where i can get new blades without the attachment pieces.

Thanks for your time, ive tried one but when using it it is hard to see the cut line with the swarf getting in the way.

it has to either one of the above.

For your Abrafiles, try K&M Wholesale, Sheffield 01142 474733.
A scroll saw for 6mm would be useless, and the jigsaw would be fine - you could even try a downward blade, so long as its a fine one.
Bandsaws would be good, but most of the blades are only carbon steel which wouldn't last long in your situation.
