Whilst painting my new bathroom I have scratched the front of my handbasin with the ladder. There's now a silvery mark there. Is there anything I can use to cover it up. I tried touching it up with a bit of white gloss paint but it won't adhere to the surface.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

It depends how deep the scratch is but I ve removed them in the past using the 'ink' part of a rubber (you know them two sided rubbers all the smart kids had at school)

On closer inspection there are small chips in the ceramic as well as scratches. Is there a special ceramic paint I can buy?
