Hi

I had a screed floor put down on the 12th Dec and plan to lay laminate (with DPM and fibreboard) on the 12th Jan.

he room is 7ft by 17ft and Im guessing the screed floor is c70mm thick on 100mm celotex.

How long should it realistically take to fully dry out? Is there any time rules..was about 1.75t of sand / cement all in. I have had halogen and air heaters on almost constantly.

I dont wantto lay the floor only to have damp issues further down the line. my neighbours laid on top of their after 2 weeks but that was put down in July..not Dec

Any guidleines?

Thanks in advance! :p

A lot of people lay laminate over floors that ain't dry and what happens is the moisture in the screed then gets trapped under the dpm sheet under the laminate. Which can cause damage to your screed over time.
