I have a old concrete step - possibly 1904 when the house was built

the back of the step has lost some concrete and so has an area of a few mm deep , which I need to fill
BUT
What i would like to do , is put a screed over the entire step to make the whole surface smooth again to paint

BUT i do not want a thick section on top of the step - what material can I use now that would put a small thin screed across the top of the step.
which will not break up when used

not sure what materials are available these days

Any suggestions welcome

There's a whole range of cementitious and synthetic materials out there that claim to do what you want - how well they will last i dont know.

A painted step will look rough within months.

Why not post a pic?

thanks for the reply, I will look at those products,
should have mentioned I'm in UK
will attach some images tomorrow - when its light again - clocks going back dark early now
