Hello, was looking for some advice garage roof which is corrugated metal has been leaking at the joins in the passed few months was wondering what the best thing to use to seal this would be. Have had a look around some places seem to say flashing tape or butyl tape or did see some people suggesting sealant too. Which you guys think would be best for this? Thanks in advanced.

Pics would help?
Any well known googled "Flashing Tape" might do.
Old rusted out sheets are finished - such roofs are also fragile and could be dangerous to climb on.

Yeah am a little wary about getting on to the roof as the garage is about 40+ years old only leaks in a small area though suppose there wouldn’t be any way of fixing the leak from the inside or anything like that? Here’s a few pics of the joins. Thanks

I'm still not much more informed? The sheets look to be in good condition.
There's a minimum of debris in the troughs - debris that might be hiding pin holes, so clean away the debris and slowly water test from low to high?
Maybe there's not enough overlap - but lack of overlap would have shown a year or so after installation.

Just seems to leak where it overlaps a little was wondering what the best thing to seal it there would be. Also if it would be safe enough to get onto the roof to do.

Yes, that roof looks safe - try and put your weight over the joist. Dont work alone - have a mate below.
Use, say, a 300mm tape to cover a number of troughs - run it from top to bottom of the dodgy overlap.

Thanks yeah think that must be the reason as it only seems to happen occasionally when it’s pretty heavy rain an wind.
