I have a 15mm flexible pipe that I'm wanting to use. I need to install an elbow off of the main feed to connect to the flexible pipe. The flexible pipe has a male end and I am looking to connect the two via an elbow with one female end so the flexible pipe screws straight in. Question is how do i make that water tight?

Thank you

PTFE tape around the thread or a fibre washer or two inside the female elbow depending on the length of the male thread.

I don't think 45 really meant a picture of the fittings as they are pretty obvious. What you wish to do is a bit unusual though. Usually flexi's would have either a compression or female end on them. It's not really the norm to do a sink connection the way your propose, using a connex female iron with male ended flexi pipes and that may be why 45 is asking for a picture of what you wish to do. Are you sure the flexi pipes aren't compression fittings with the nut and olive missing?
All that being said, fibre washers and/or PTFE tape would be the way to seal male to female as suggested but not the most reliable method for hooking up supply pipes to a sink IMO

They are compression fittings and I could pop a bit of copper pipe in to join the flexi pipe to a normal compression elbow. but that would be a waste as the length needed would be so small. I just figured if i have a male end on the flex and female end on an elbow why not screw the 2 together. I will give PTFE a try.

these are the 2 bits I want to join. the flexi is just a few mm too short to reach which was why i ws going to pop on the elbow.

Many thanks
