Hello

I have just moved into a property and have noticed a draught coming in from around the windows and door seals. Also, there has been some cut outs for pipes for the drains etc to the sink that aren't sealed around the edges.

What can I used to seal this all up and what do I need to be careful of? I haven't noticed any gas pipes yet but was wondering if there were special precautions before adding say expanding foam to seal all of the pipework up.

many thanks

It has to depend on the size of the gaps, really.....expanding foam isn't UV stable and looks awful on the outside.
For me, it's sand and cement pointing, or silicone sealer.
John :)

I agree expanding foam does look horrible.

The gaps aren't huge so that sticky back foam stuff probably won't work. I think silicone might. What type do I need?
