Elsewhere on above topic, it advises to use a "mastic filler" to seal a bath outlet, elsewhere a silcone sealant. Is LS X suitable? If not, which product? Advice appreciated.
 
Plumbers mate is possible, if not, any type of sanitary sealent, if your get really desperate, any waterproof silicone substance!
 
i prefer using plumbers mait for this type of thing cause it is exactly what it was designed for, a posh putty, as it stays flexible i have never had a problem with it, whereas ordinary putty, which i used for donkeys years goes hard and dries out therefore leaking,
