I'm mounting these lights from B&Q, and as you can see from the picture, there will be a gap between them and the wall due to texture.

What would be the best product to fill this gap?

Wire will be entering from the bottom of the light we it meets the wall, NOT through the wall.

The plastic backplate should have a rubber seal around the edge. The lights themselves do not need to be sealed to the wall.

Oh! No, the only rubber seal these have is at the cable entry point.

@CmdrBond

my bad then...must have been a different model...its a crackle black finish
yours is just begging for an 'O' ring to go in that annular groove??
you could fill that with silicone first then fix the fitting to the wall
as a precaution i would leave a gap at the bottom for any 'leaks' to drain off
good luck

ps is your name James by any chance..:sneaky:

Nope, Jon ;)

And yes, planning to leave a drain gap. Just trying to blend it to the wall as best as possible.

@CmdrBond

the worst part of the job of putting the lamp up for me was trying to find the little fixing nuts which fell from my fingers into the gravel in the garden, and fitting the glass and the lid...
it was in december when i fitted it..

cheers
