Hello

After re-plastering a wall with a double PVC door leading out to the garden in it, I am looking for advise on how to seal around the door trim. the problem is the plaster is quite thinner than what was there before so there is quite a gap between the door trim and the wall now. The gap is no more than an inch accross and I was just wondering if I would get away with just filling the gap with silicon? or would i need to fill with somthing else before I put the silicon on?

filling a 25mm gap with silicone would be unsightly.
best to get upvc beading or 50mm utility board, fit this then seal round the frame.

Thats a good idea thanks.

How would I attach the beading to the gap though?
