Sealing Travertine tiles in bathroom what is best solution?

Hello all bit of a long story but will try to explain as best as possible and i am not a tiler just a DIY'er.

Ok about 5 years ago I tiled out the whole bathroom up to the ceiling with 600x400mm travertine tiles which took me ages but I did a really good job of it, Also inside the shower cubicle was done the same which is a walk in shower about 1200x600 in size.
Topps tiles who I bought the tiles from sold me some Colour intensifier and told me to give it all a coat and give the shower cubicle a few good coats and that would be ok.

I did this and there does not seem to be any leaks but after about every 6 months I have to re apply another coat in the shower as it starts to leak downstairs again.

Is there something I can apply in the shower that will last longer or anything better I can apply for this job, I dont mind paying £30 or something for a tin of something?

Is the intensifier, also a sealant?

Most sealer will breakdown in about 3 years and would need re-applying. Ideally you would do a full removal of the old stuff and start from scratch.

I would recommend using Lithofin Mn Stainstop as a sealer for travertine.

I just read the bottle and there is no mention of a sealer, It is made my Fila

A 1inch thick coating of thick black tar usually will work but travertine is a natural stone and as such is porus it should be sealed quite regually

Yes i could apply tar but i dont think my missis would like that
