I cant recommend a particular make, but like all tools the more you pay the better the tool.
There are two type; bypass, which are bit like scissors or anvil, which has a single blade that cuts against a small 'anvil'. I prefer the later as the bypass type tend not to be so good on thicker, harder material. The the blades seperate, and the twig gets jammed between them.

there is only one make to get Felco. They are swiss made and will last a life time. They can be dismantled to sharpen and service and every bit can be replaced if it ever needs to be. Lots of different models to suit your needs. A bit expensive at about £35 ish but they are the dogs dangly bits
