Sadly no answers, and their website doesn't allow cancellation of tickets due to change of gig date despite their email saying otherwise!

Shysters!

I've been in exactly the same situation. My concert got canceled by the organiser but I managed to get everything refunded.

I took the case up with Office of fair trading (OFT) and "consumer direct"
http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/

They advised me to send them a cover letter asking for a full refund. The OFT states that if they don't fulfill the 'contract' that you have paid them for, they have to bring you back to the financial situation you where in before you bought your tickets.
In their terms and conditions it says that they only refund the face value. Again according to OFT these are unfair contract terms.
When I spoke to See tickets customer service and gave them all these details they gave me a full refund.
I asked them why customers in these situations are not fully refunded as standard, their reply was: It says in our T&C we only refund face value but if customers take us up on it we refund them" Basically they meant, if nobody kicks up a fuss, we get away with it.

I would advise everybody to get in touch with consumer direct. They where really helpful and explained me exactly what I needed to do. Once you get all your facts right, contact SEE tickets customer service and they'll refund you.

I tried to contact Rob Wilmshurst but in the end I explained it to a customer service man and he put me through to someone called Simon. Don't know his surname.

This is from the see tickets website:

Just had an interesting chat with my card company.

They checked for the original payment, and then looked online to see the cancellation of the gig.

A mere two minutes on hold and they simply refunded the whole amount without question there and then!

Apparently they are chasing this company for a lot of refunds and are doing it in bulk! And if people only get a partial refund (as in the the example posted) they are also refunding the difference, even if they don't really have to as it's below the threshold limit.

Not often that a bank/card company deserves praise!!
