Hi guys,

My cold tap on the bath decided to seize fully open! Its not even a year old.

I removed it and it does not look gunked up. I also tried squirting some 3in1 but no joy.

Its still in warranty so I can take it back to Screwfix but thought I would post here in case you kind folks can tell me a simple fix please? These are the taps

There's a screw at the bottom I can take out by putting a screwdriver in the bottom but that didn't seem to change anything.

I guess I need to go in through the top but can't figure out how. I've changed a few taps but never taken one apart.

Cheers

Larry

Replace under warranty, if you're curious to know I'd say that the valve has wound fully off it's thread hence sticking open.

The internal brass thread has jammed, happens now and again, more so usually with worn taps though. If you can swap it out then it's a no brainer.

Hi guys thank you so much for your help. I will have a ride out to Screwfix for a replacement then.

Cheers Larry
