You have missed out the "screw in" stopcock.

That seems very clever although they cost about £40 and take just 10 min to fit.

Ideal for turning off water in an emergency to stop a leak and the cost is irrelevant to damage being caused and to the labour cost of doing the job properly where you cannot turn off the supply!

They pass over 90% of the cross section of 15 mm pipe.

Not made yet for 22 mmm though!

Look in the BES book they are in there and in 22mm too I've used them for years I think they do a good job if youre in a fix
