Complete plumbing amateur here - I think I managed to inadvertently unscrew the brass valve of the towel radiator by turning the silver cylinder too much, to the point the gushing water came out of the brass valve part.

Managed to screw the valve back in, but it now leaks at a regular interval (a drip a second) from the tip and the point the brass meets the silver junction.

It wasn’t leaking prior to this, and now I’m afraid of overtightening and it all failing and having a significant leak.

Has the seal now been damaged/broken beyond working order, and does this need plumber to refit. Can I use the heating on the meantime?

Thanks!

Is the leak only where the brass part screws into the chrome valve body ?
If so ,is the brass part fully tightened up ?
It should be fairly easy to make that joint watertight, if you are relatively confident on working on the plumbing.
