I have an old standard lamp (1920s) which I am selling as I have bought another I like more.
The old bulb holder was metal but had no earthing terminal. I have replaced it with a new metal bulb holder with an earth terminal, and replaced the 2 core cable with 3 core and wired up a new plug as the old one has no BS approval number.
Am I ok to sell it or do I have to get some sort of certification from someone qualified?

Best selling it on the understanding that it must be tested by a competent electrician before being used.
May even be worth having it PAT tested by an electrician.
