Selling Cat D write offs?

As far as I know a Vehicle Identity Certificate (VIC) is issued after the repairs have been carried out to ensure the car is actually the car that had the accident. Not a wringer

It has nothing to do with road worthiness.

Would you not be better to let the nice insurance man deal with the salvage of the car after he pays you full market value? Because at this point in time thats all it is, salvage.

You cant change owners because you have no V5. As you are the last registered owner, you will have to do paperwork with the new owner to at least cover yourself against traffic offenses. As far as I know the DVLA don't do a form for change of owner without a V5, but maybe I'm wrong?
