Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of the above? Good or bad.
It has been reduced from £650 to £300 and I am very tempted. Its 8 channels and has a 1 TB capacity (2 months of constant recording on 8 cameras?). It also comes with 2 bullet cameras.

It's maplins own brand .... And no way you would get 2 months recording with 8 cameras at 1080p with 1tb hardrive .....

how much recording would I get on to a 1TB unit

Depends on how many cameras , resolution , frame rate , what the camera is looking at , I fit a minimum 4tb on a 8 camera 1080p system ....

OK. Presumably, one can swap out the hard-drives in these DVR's with something bigger in the future?

But only for maximum 2Tb
You will not get 2month on 2 Tb either
As sparky says frame rate res and number and type of camera.
