i am thinking of having an unvented cylinder installed, i have been told it needs to be serviced yearly. Can anyone comment on the average cost for a service, and do most of them actually get this yearly service or does it get forgotten? thanks

No. I am making a point. It being funny is just a bonus.quite clearly you must think your are very funny as i have seen you use this is many peoples post now.
OK then. It making me rather sad is just a bonus.I can advise you that it is not funny and makes you rather sad.
You and I seem to have very different views as to what's funny and what isn't.The funny thing is i am not the usual person asking how much a boiler change would cost without giving any details
OK. And the reason you haven't asked the service engineer is what?i was mearly asking the average cost of a service for an unvented cylinder.
I don't know where faulty parts come into it. My price is all encompassing, and includes a replacement Megaflo when yours wears out. It also includes a replacement house when you want to move. And anyone with any sense would guess if parts were faulty they would cost extra.
i also asked the average cost, one service engineer would not give me an average, where as many tradesmen on here may be a rough average.
