can anyone tell me whats wrong with my wm i have cleaned all hoses even the drain pump but still wm wont drain.

Does the pump run?
Did you take the pump out to clean it?
Did you clean and check the sump hose for a blockage?
Is the drain hose into a stand pipe or a spigot under the sink?

yes i cleaned the sump hose.and not sure if the pump runs and not sure what you mean about the standpipe and spigot.i noticed there was a hose which is attached to the drum also attached to the hose is a liittle thin hose with a sponge. the engineer took this off and now not sure where it goes.to be honest inside the machine theres hardley anything to it lol.i just want the wm to work! thanks

(yes i cleaned the sump hose) just to clarify this, the sump hose is the hose that runs from the bottom of the washing machine tub to the pump internally

ok just to pre- empt sleepyheads reply

stand pipe is a fixed verticle pipe which is plumbed to outflow into your drains, and your grey water outlet hose from your washing machine slots loosley into this fixed pipe

spigot fixing is were your grey outlet hose from your washing machine is plumbed directly into your u bend fitting under the sink

you may of course, if you have a utility room for example, with sink just have the outlet pipe draining directly into the sink.

You'll know if the drain pump is running by the noise it makes, no noise it's either jammed, blocked or faulty.

the machine will wash but wont drain the water.when i empty the machine with a cup then put it onto spin its spins and make a sound.i will double check all of this and get back to you.the only thing thats attached the the sink is the two hoses red and blue.the outllet hose is inside a pipe.but i will check for all of this.is it safe to put the machine on while the back panel is of so i can see where the water is coming from all i know is that its leaking really bad underneath, and if this helps i have a grey block like concrete which is soaking wet.

can anyone tell me what the hose is with the sponge attached and where it goes as the engineer took this off and now he doesnt know where it goes.not payed him and not calling him again.basically his useless.

That hose goes between the black rubber sump underneath the drum, and the pressure sensor which is usually top left on the back panel, near where the power lead goes into the machine. The sensor has some electrical connections and a short black plastic pipe which the hose fits onto.
The sump has a connection on the left where this pipe fits. You have to look right under the drum, towards the front of the machine.
This would certainly cause a leak if disconnected. Does it leak all the time or just when spinning?

hi it leaked all the time before but now that hose is disconnected it leaks even worse i will have another today thank u

when it spinned it did leak really bad,but now that hose has been discoonected it leaks even worse i will have a go today thanks.i have been told i need a new machine but going to try and fix this one first, while i save up for new one.

If the hose you mentioned is disconnected it is likely to leak anytime there is water in the drum. Depends on which end is disconnected though.
If it's only leaking while spinning then it must be from either that hose, the drain pump or outlet hose (bottom left as you look at the back), or maybe from the rubber seal which goes right round the circumference on the back of the drum (it seals the backplate to the tub).
Only way you can be sure is to run it with the back off and see where it's coming from.
If you do this be very sure to keep clear of the electrics and motor/drivebelt/drum pulley. Don't go close, just observe from a safe distance.
Be sure to unplug it while working on it.

Yes you can but as I said keep well clear of the electrics and moving parts while it's powered up.
If it was me I would:

1) Unplug it from the wall
2) Take the back off
3) Set it to a program ready to go when you plug it in
4) Plug it back in and press start if you have to on this machine
5) Watch
6) Unplug it again before putting the back on etc

Probably best to get a torch ready so you can have a good look.

If you're at all unsure of any safety aspects then don't do it. It's not worth getting hurt.
